The University of North Dakota women’s basketball team was without Mia Loyd ― its leading scorer ― against the University of Nebraska-Omaha on Tuesday night in Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. But it didn’t matter. UND of the Big Sky Conference defeated Omaha of the Summit League 67-52, its first win of the season in three games. UND was led by Makailah Dyer’s game-leading 23 points, while Samantha Roscue chipped in 14 and Fallyn Freije nine. Omaha was paced by Mikaela Shaw’s 19 points. UND returns to action on the road next week against San Francisco and Oregon.
