The University of North Dakota women’s hockey team held St.Cloud State to just one goal Friday night, but that’s all the Huskies needed to defeat the Fighting Hawks 1-0 in Ralph Engelstad Arena in a matchup of Western Collegiate Hockey Association foes. Molly Illikainen scored the game’s only goal in the second period as the Huskies improved to 8-13-4 in WCHA play and 12-14-4 overall. The Fighting Hawks fell to 14-10-5 overall and 11-9-5 in the WCHA. Shelby Amsley-Benzie stopped 20 shots for UND, while Katie Fitzgerald recorded the shutout for SCSU with 39 saves.
