No. 2-ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth shut out No. 1 University of North Dakota 3-0 on Saturday night in AmsOil Arena in Duluth to complete a weekend sweep of the Fighting Hawks for the first time since January 1995. The Bulldogs received goals from Karson Kuhlman, Kyle Osterberg and Carson Soucy to up their National Collegiate Hockey Conference record to 2-0-0 and 5-1-2 overall. UND dropped to 0-2 in the NCHC and 5-2 overall. UND goalie Cam Johnson stopped 22 shots, while Duluth’s Hunter Miska had 30 saves. The Fighting Hawks return to action this weekend (Friday and Saturday) when they play the University of Minnesota Gophers in Minneapolis. Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.
