The University of North Dakota hosted its first indoor home meet since 1985 — the UND Indoor Tune-Up — in the $19.5 million High Performance Center on Saturday. The Fighting Hawks used the meet to prepare for the upcoming Big Sky Conference Indoor Championship, which starts Feb. 23 at Idaho State University. Several members of the men’s squad set personal bests at the meet. Weight thrower Adam Mehr led the way with a toss of 60 feet, 2 inches, Matt Culhane had a throw of 51-10, while Andy Samuel also earned a weight throw personal record with his toss of 50-07.25. Pole vaulter Jace Kruger cleared 14-03.50 feet. On the women’s side, 60-meter hurdlers Erin Brown and Aleksandra Anderson set personal bests. Brown had a record-tying run of 9.01 seconds, while Anderson finished in 9.41 seconds. Pole vaulter Mikayla Johnson cleared 11-07.75 feet, and Isabel Waite cleared 5-05 in the high jump.
