UND track and field performers won 10 events during the two-day UND Indoor Open Friday and Saturday at the High Performance Center. For the women Friday, Ellie Miller and Erica Benson shattered the school record for the pentathlon, with Miller winning three of the five events (high jump, shot put, long jump), while Benson won one (800 meters). On Day 2, first-place finishes were recorded by Madison Overby (800 meters), Molli Detloff (weight throw, shot put), Kyle Foster (pole vault) and Isabel Waite (high jump). On the men’s side Saturday, Delante Sykes (60 meters), Oluwaseyi Aguda (400 meters), Michael Quisenberry (shot put) and Nick Krella (pole vault) took firsts, as did the 4×400 relay quartet of Abner Moseti, James Hollister, Cade Peterson and Aguda. UND’s indoor season resumes Feb. 8 in Brookings, S.D. for the SDSU Classic followed by the UND Indoor Tune-up on Feb. 16 at the HPC. (Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.)
