Thompson and Hillsboro-Central Valley won semifinal games in the North Dakota Region 2 boys basketball tournament Tuesday in Betty Engelstad Sioux Center and will meet in the championship game Thursday in the Betty. The Tommies were 57-44 winner over Hatton-Northwood, while the Burros defeated Grafton 58-44. Candy Schwabe (19 points) and Marcus Hughes (15) led Thompson to the win, while Hatton-Northwood was led by Alex Wolfe with 14 points. The Burros were paced by Carson Henningsgard, who scored a game-high 25 points. The Spoilers were led by Dalton Albrecht with 20 points. (Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.)
