A visit to western North Dakota presented photographer Dave Bruner with an opportunity to capture these images of teepees on the Plains, all of which depict a nostalgic scene of what it might have looked like on the Great Plains of the now past Old Frontier.
This image was an early morning scene before sunrise with a half-moon in the sky above.
A black-and-white composition of these teepees depicts a nostalgic scene. A shadow reflection of the poles on the teepee side along with a dark stormy sky completed this scene.
A sunset image of these Teepees depicts a nostalgic scene of what it might have looked like on the Great Plains of the now past Old Frontier. A beautiful sky with the sun rays bursting its rays on the side of this Teepee at sunset completed this composition. I chose a Sepia Tone for this scene as it gives it an old style look to this photo.
A beautiful early sunrise just peaking over the hills on this composition of Teepees created a look of what it must have looked like on the Great Plains of the Old Frontier of the past. I liked the balance of this image with the four main Teepees and with the rising sun to the left along with the different shades of color in the sky. The golden light reflection off the sides of the Teepees added to this early morning scene.
