Jordan Kawaguchi’s goal 3:41 into overtime lifted the University of North Dakota men’s hockey team to a 2-1 win and a weekend sweep of St. Cloud State University on Saturday night in Ralph Engelstad University. The Fighting Hawks won 4-2 on Friday night. The win was the 100th of coach Brad Berry at UND. St. Cloud’s Jack Ahcan and UND’s Jacob Bernard-Docker traded goals in the first and second period respectively to set up Kawaguchi’s game winner. UND goalie Adam Scheel stopped 11 shots, while SCSU’s netminder David Hrenak had 18 saves. The Fighting Hawks improved to 10-1-2 overall and 5-0-1 in National Collegiate Hockey Conference, while the Huskies fell to 2-6-4 overall and 0-4-0 in the NCHC.
