The University of North Dakota men’s hockey team regular 2021-22 season schedule with a 6-2 win over Niagara University on Friday night in Ralph Engelstad Arena. The No. 8 Fighting Hawks received two goals from Ashton Calder and single tallies from Jake Schmaltz, Ethan Fritsch, Jake Sanderson and Tyler Kleven. Shane Ott and Ryan Naumovski scored goals for the Purple Eagles, who also were appearing in their first game of the season. UND goalie Zach Driscoll stopped 18 shots, while Niagara’s Chad Veltri had 22 saves. (Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.)
