The University of North Dakota football team defeated Missouri Valley Conference foe Western Illinois University 34-10 on Saturday in the Alerus Center on Homecoming weekend. The Fighting Hawks (3-4 overall, 1-3 MVC) held the Leathernecks (2-6 overall, 1-4 MVC) scoreless in the second while holding them to just 99 yards of total offense. Otis Weah rushed for 125 yards on 18 carries in his return to the UND lineup. Quarterback Tommy Schuster was 21-32 for 274 yards and a touchdown and Bo Bequist caught eight passes for 142 yards.
