Backup quarterback Quincy Vaughn threw a 3-yard pass to Gavin Ziebarth with 4:26 left in the ball game to lift the University of North Dakota football team to a 14-7 Missouri Valley Conference win over Illiinois State University on Saturday afternoon in the Alerus Center. The Fighting Hawks (5-5 overall, 3-4 MVFC) were led by starting quarterback Tommy Schuster who was 19-for-25 passing for 233 yards and a touchdown pass to Jake Richter. On ground, Otis Weah ran for 80 yards. The Redbirds (4-6 overall, 2-5 MVC) scored on a 28-yard pass from Jackson Waring to Brett Spaulding.bCole Mueller had 25 carries for 90 yards rushing for ISU.
