Tommy Schuster was 24-for-28 passing for 223 yards and three touchdowns to lead the University of North Dakota football team to a 28-19 Missouri Valley Conference win over the University of South Dakota on Saturday in the Alerus Center. The Fighting Hawks (7-3 overall, 5-2 MVFC) trailed twice in the first half but a blocked punt inside the 10-yard-line of the Coyotes (3-7 overall, 2-5 MVFC) by Malachi McNeal late in the second quarter led to a 2-yard touchdown pass from Schuster to Bo Belquist for a 14-13 lead. Belquist had a game-high seven receptions for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Isaiah Smith caught the other touchdown pass. Quincy Vaughn ran for the other UND touchdown. Tyler Hoosman led the UND rushing game with 100 yards on 23 carries. Travis Theis led the USD offense with 95 yards on 14 carries.The Fighting Hawks return to play Saturday when they travel to Fargo to meet North Dakota State University.
