The University of North Dakota football team’s valiant rally in the second half of Saturday’s FCS playoff game in Odgen, Utah, against Weber State University fell just short as the Fighting Hawks fell 38-31 to the Wildcats. The Hawks trailed 24-0 in the first half and 31-14 heading into the third quarter before staging the comeback. UND quarterback Tommy Schuster threw three touchdown passes and was 23 for 43 through the air. Jaden Norby, Jack Wright and Adam Zavalney caught touchdown passes, while Tyler Hoosman rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown and Isaiah Smith had a 63-yard touchdown run. The Fighting Hawks ended the season with a 7-5 record. (Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.)
