RUSS HONS: Photo Gallery — University of North Dakota Vs. University Of Minnesota Duluth

Owen McLaughlin score one goal and added four assists to lead the No. 17-ranked University of North Dakota men’s hockey team to a 6-1 win over the University of Minnesota-Duluth in National Collegiate Hockey Conference play Saturday night in Ralph Engelstad Arena. The Fighting Hawks (17-12-2 overall, 12-7-1 NCHC) defeated the Bulldogs (11-17-2 overall, 7-12-1 NCHC) 4-2 in the series opener Friday night. Sacha Boisvert and Cameron Berg each scored two goals for the Hawks and Jake Schmaltz scored one. UMD’s only goal came from Jason Shaugabay with less than one minute left in the game. UND goalie T.J. Semptimphelter stopped 27 shots, while UMD’s goalies Klayton Knapp and Adam Gajan combined for 22 saves. North Dakota returns to play next weekend when it travels to Western Michigan.
