Team USA closed out pool play of the 2016 IIHF World Under-18 Championship in style, shutting out Team Switzerland 4-0 on Tuesday night in Ralph Engelstad Arena. The Americans (4-0) were led by Casey Mittelstadt, who scored two goals, and linemates Kailer Yamamoto (a goal and an assist) and Logan Brown (two assists). Also scoring for Team USA was Graham McPhee. USA goalie Joseph Woll stopped 15 shots, while his counterpart, Philip Wuthrich, blocked 33. The Americans now face the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in REA. In the other Thursday quarterfinal games in REA, Finland plays Russia at noon and Switzerland meets Canada at 3:30 p.m. Sweden and Slovakia will square off in the fourth game at 6 p.m. Thursday in ICON Arena.
