If you came here looking for my blog post about billionaire sex and drug king Henry Nicholas and his unwitting (I think) North Dakota foil Kathleen Wrigley, wife of Lieutenant Gov. Drew Wrigley, who, together, are bringing you a North Dakota ballot measure called Marsy’s Law, well, you won’t find it here today.
I wrote about the two of them last Wednesday. On Friday, the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, whose owners, Forum Communications, are nice enough to host my blog on their Area Voices website, printed the story (labeled “commentary” — fair enough) on page 4 of their print edition. On Saturday, I received the following e-mail from the company’s Digital Content chief:
Hi, Jim,
We had to unpublish the Marcy’s Law article. It is privately published so that only logged in users can view it. Please leave it that way.
I will follow up with you on Monday. I hope to restore the post.
Sincerely,
Adrian Dawson-Becker
Digital Content Chief, Forum Communications
Well, OK, we’ll find out tomorrow what that’s about. (Don’t go jumping to conclusions about some billionaire conspiracy — yet.)
Meanwhile, what’s cool is I learned a new word:” unpublish.” Never thought about that before. “Unpublishing” something. I guess the digital age makes that possible. One keystroke and you’re “unpublished.”
So, I’ve added a new word to my lexicon. It’ll go in there right beside “unthaw.”
I guess they can’t “unpublish” the 65,000 copies of Friday’s Forum, though. That’d be a little trickier.
I’ll keep you posted.
Meanwhile, Unheralded.fish, who also is kind enough to host my blog, doesn’t understand the idea of unpublishing. You can find my original Marsy’s Law blog here.
