The University of North Dakota women’s soccer team outshot North Dakota State University 6-4 in the second half of its game Friday afternoon at Bronson Field in Grand Forks, but four-goal blitz in the first half was all the Bison needed in a 4-1 win over the Fighting Hawks. After falling behind 2-0 on two goals by Holly Enderle, UND’s Katie Moller answered right back within less than a minute to cut the margin in half. However, Enderle scored for a third time, completing the hat trick, in the 33rd minute to put the Bison up 3-1. Natalie Fenske scored the other Bison goal. UND’s goalkeeper Catherine Klein had three saves, while Monic Polgar finished with four saves for the Bison. UND fell to 1-4-1, while the NDSU upped its record to 3-1. The Fighting Hawks return to play next weekend with an Illinois road trip, taking on Western Illinois on Friday and Illinois State on Sunday. Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.
