The Washington Capitals visited the Twin Cities on Tuesday night to play the Minnesota Wild in the Xcel Center. The game, which featured former University of North Dakota stars Zach Parise (Wild) and T.J. Oshie (Capitals), was won in overtime by Washington by a 5-4 score. Oshie scored the game-winner, his second of the game, at the 1:52 mark to give him 32 goals on the season, a career high. Alex Ovechkin scored the other three goals for the Capitals, his 31st, 32nd and 33rd of the season. Jason Pominville (12), Martin Hanzal (18), Jarod Spurgeon (9)and Eric Staal (27) scored for the Wild. Parise was injured in the first period and did not return to the game.
