The University of North Dakota women’s soccer team dropped its first match of a season, a 1-0 decision to Bemidji State University on Sunday afternoon at East Grand Forks Senior High. UND (4-1-1) suffered its first loss of the season and also became the final Division I program to concede a goal, seeing its shutout streak end at 547:42. The match’s only goal was scored by the Beavers’ Rachael Norton, breaking a 0-0 deadlock in the 78th minute of play. The Fighting Hawks return to action this weekend, playing Southwest Athletic Conference foes Grambling State (Friday) and Alcorn State (Sunday). (Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.)
