It appears not even our country’s warmer climes are immune from snow this winter. A winter storm ravaged the Southwest U.S., dumping snow on parts of Greater Los Angeles and Tucson, Ariz., before moving eastward into the Plains. Northern Arizona was hit particularly hard, with Flagstaff reporting its snowiest single day on record, with more than 35 inches of snow falling Thursday alone. The storm also dropped more than a half-foot of snow on the Las Vegas area Wednesday night and Thursday. Snow also fell as far south as Tucson, where 1.9 inches of snow was reported Friday. Photgrapher Eric Bergeson captured these images of Sabino Canyon after the rare snowfall in the Tucson metro today Friday.
