RUSS HONS: Photo Gallery — University of North Dakota Vs. University Of Montana

The University of North Dakota football team came back from a 24-7 halftime deficit to defeat the University of Montana 27-24 on Saturday in the Alerus Center. The No. 4-ranked Grizzlies (1-1) dominated the first half before surrendering 20 unanswered points in the second half to the No. 23-ranked Fighting Hawks (1-1), culminating with a 40-yard field goal from CJ Elrichs, his second of the game. UND quarterback Simon Romfo was 11-24 for 97 yards passing while rushing for 57 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown scamper. Gavin Ziebarth led UND rushers with 88 yards on 22 carries and one touchdown. Sawyer Seidel chipped in 57 yards on 11 carries and Isaiah Smith had 48 yards on six carries and one touchdown. Bo Belquist led UND receivers with four catches for 33 yards. Montana was paced by quarterback Keali’i Ah Yat who passed for 160 yards and one touchdown. The Grizzlies were led on the ground by Eli Gillman who ran for 86 yards and one touchdown. UND returns to action Saturday when it hosts Idaho State University.
