If you are a University of North Dakota women’s volleyball fan and attended Tuesday night’s match with North Dakota State University in Betty Engelstad Sioux Center, you didn’t go home disappointed. A near-capacity crowd (2,232) saw UND hand the Bison a 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-19) loss to up its record to 4-2 against NDSU in the Division I era. With the win, UND (16-7) finishes non-conference play with a 12-5 record, including a 6-0 mark at home. NDSU fell to 12-9. UND’s Courtney Place finished the night with 12 kills to lead all players and 14 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. North Dakota also finished with 67 digs, led by the NCAA Division I digs-leader McKenzie Hart, who had 28. UND returns to action Thursday at Portland State.
